UNIVERSITY MODULES

FINAL MAJOR PROJECT

Mental Health and Well-Being are two of the biggest trends since 2016 with the market growing by £1.1billion in 2017 in the United States alone. (Kirkman, 2017)

The growth in market and research from my dissertation influence this project.

The initial idea was to build a business that creates a software that provides organisations vital knowledge on mental health in the workplace including how to address on peer scale, in managerial position, if your suffering or if you recognise someone else is suffering. “59% of UK workers said the workplace could make improvements to current system and attitudes to take mental health of employees seriously”, Euphoria aims to acknowledge this demand. (Stevenson Farmer, 2017) The overall end goal is to be the go to software that companies want to demonstrate they care about their employees.

The software would feature Human Resources Basics as well as five different platforms: Education, Communication, Information, Motivational, Self Care as well as information on ways to celebrate your employee’s success through add-ons to the monthly fee where Euphoria would organize work excursions when your business profited at the end of the year or a team has a successful deadline or new employee ice breakers.

Euphoria will sit as niche player as well as a visionary across both the mental health charity market and human resource software. The overall aim of the software is to develop a strong position in the market and to expand from initially small creative companies to larger more corporate and global companies. Furthermore, the software could also explore opening the software app to the public for a monthly subscription price.

- Conducted interviews with industry professionals to gain strong primary research whilst organised focus groups with persons aged 16-18 built an argument from the younger persons perspective on work.

UNIVERSITY

EVENTS MANAGEMENT

Worked within of team along with 7 other students in order to generate a brand and host a fund-raiser for Birmingham St. Basils Charity. I was assigned to the Finance Role which entailed tracking the initial funds starting with £0, outgoings for the event and marketing and the overall outcome which was £1000 for charity.

DIGITAL MARKETING, BRANDING AND PR

Freedom to choose a brand we feel could adapt and change their strategy, my choice was a small bespoke brand Sister Jane. Research into the brand, its identity, consumer, target market, ethos influence my strategy. The outcome resulted in marketing mood boards, two can be seen as an example, as well as a detailed marketing report documenting the full strategy across 12 months and costings.

OVERVIEW

University has provided a clear path for a creative future enhancing all knowledge and skills through varied modules. I have then been able to use these skills across all university modules
